Jimmy Valentine, the world's greatest jewel thief, wants to do the impossible: go straight. But he’s not sure he can give up the one thing he excels at. One night at a masquerade, Jimmy flirts with a woman named Jen who is wearing an emerald bracelet. But Jimmy can’t break his habit, and steals Jen’s bracelet the following night. What he doesn’t realize is that Jen is a cop.

 

Jimmy escapes to a small town in Arkansas, where he meets Annabel, a young woman who’s just had her first drink in a speakeasy. Annabel gives Jimmy the spark he needs to go straight at last. Soon they’re engaged and running a clothing store together.
